PURPOSE
Delta Sigma Pi strives to develop business leaders for the future by providing opportunities for its members to grow within their chapter and post-graduation. Members can reach their full potential through professional development and scholarship opportunities offered by the Fraternity. Brothers of Delta Sigma Pi can attend a Grand Chapter Congress to improve their professional development skills. The Grand Chapter Congress includes conferences, workshops, leadership development exercises and the chance to network with other Brothers across the nation.
Regional conferences and LEAD are additional options that Brothers can choose to attend. Regional conferences take place every Fall and are of interest to Brothers who are looking to focus on unity and leadership development. LEAD is another leadership development program that takes place at the academy over the span of 6 days. About 50-70 collegiate chapters participate in this event.
NORTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY: ETA MU CHAPTER
The Eta Mu Chapter was established at Northern Illinois University on April 28, 1968. Our actions are guided by ethical decision making and a commitment to uphold the pillars of professionalism, service and scholarship. We believe individuals and organizations benefit from a wide range of perspectives. Diversity is one of the many attributes our Fraternity values. Members of Delta Sigma Pi love to be involved on campus and are known to host several professional events throughout the semester to engage with others in the College of Business. These professional events include etiquette dinners, guest speakers and networking events.
At Delta Sigma Pi, we understand the importance of giving back to the community. Some of the services we have and continue to work with include Feed 'em Soup, Barsema Hall Tours, Junior Achievement, Adopt-a-Highway and NIU Cares Day. Outside of business, Brothers look forward to socializing with each other and building long-lasting relationships. Some of the social events the Fraternity puts on throughout the semester include co-ed intramural sports and a formal dinner/dance.
